About Stessa

Heath Silverman is Stessa’s co-founder and Chief Executive Officer. After nearly 20 years as a part-time real estate investor with a full-time job in the technology industry, Heath was inspired to build a scalable technology solution to streamline the entire real estate ownership lifecycle.

Prior to Stessa, Heath was Vice President, Worldwide Business Development and Marketing at Edmodo, the leading global education network. A seasoned technology entrepreneur and executive, he has extensive background in developing and executing multinational strategies and formerly held positions in product, sales, and marketing across Intel, Amazon, and a number of technology startups.

Together with Stessa co-founder Jonah Schwartz, Heath built and sold his first company, a user generated content site for comic strip creators and their fans. The two have continued to work together in various capacities ever since, including co-investing in residential real estate throughout the SF Bay Area.

Heath received a BA in Cognitive Science from UC Berkeley and an MBA with High Distinction from the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business where he was recognized as Entrepreneur of the Year.

Jonah Schwartz is Stessa’s co-founder and Chief Technology Officer. A serial entrepreneur and technology executive who has built numerous companies and engineering teams from the ground up, Jonah has deep experience in building SaaS and consumer internet products.

Before Stessa, Jonah was the CTO and Co-founder of Dot & Bo, a venture backed ecommerce company for furniture and home decor. He formerly held founding roles at Rumpus, building social games for mobile, Dotspotter which was acquired by CBS, and Gemini Mobile Technologies, where he acquired several patents in distributed systems and developed software for some of the world’s largest telecom companies. Jonah also was an early engineer at Inktomi, a pioneer in Internet infrastructure.

Jonah co-founded his first company with Stessa CEO Heath Silverman. Together, they created the largest community for comic strip creators and their fans, resulting in an acquisition by Toonscape in 2000.

Jonah holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley.
